OK, the short version:

y-day got the cable guy out, we confirmed our 25/5 speed finally

last night found firmware for the D-link DGL 4500 Game router (it wasn't seeing updates even when manually asked to check for them)

last night, one machine wireless, beautiful play experience (first ever!)

this evening, when 2 machines wireless, back to connection drop city

Then... Colonel Korg suggested that you can only run 1 machine wireless, try putting the other on a cord...

success!

We can now both game without the dread connection drop!!!

The game is fun again :)

I want to say thanks to Jen, bluegirl, Kil, Trap, Tiny, Korg and several other folks who helped us out during the last 6 months to get the point we can at last enjoy the game :)

(THANK YOU ALL!)

I hope that you have finally found the true problem to your connection issues! Hopefully this has really solved the issue so that we will see you and T2 back on the servers together a lot more in the future! Good Luck! :)

Good deal !

Regardless of how many wireless connections you can have to the router . . . wired is always faster ! Wire them both and you'll be sportin' !

If I had of known you had both on wireless I could have helped more LOL!!!!!
My daughter and her boyfriend both are wireless...
My daughter would be on her Laptop and he would be on his PS3 and they suffered so much lag and connection issues and dropouts I told my daughter to link up without the wireless and gave them a cable.
And whan perfect with the odd error, I gave them another cable and now perfection. Well I'm glad you have sorted your problems out mainly after last night you poor poor players and connection issues. Lets hope later on today we can all have a good game of AIX2.

I think it's got a lot to do with the bandwidth of wireless the problem is the wireless PC will take most if not all but if they are both hard wired they share the bandwith hence less loss!!!!
