The next level would be that the driver and the shooter are replaced with machines/computers.
The driver just plays on BF2 (just a joke) that has been modeled to look like the real world with a live feed camera to show all hostiles/civi's walking about.
The same goes for the gunner, no chance of danger for any of the soldiers, apart from Migraines from playing the "GAME" for too long LOL.
The difference being that this vehicle could patrol the same area for weeks at a time, or at least until it runs out of ammo lol!!!
The possibilities are endless!!!!

even if our machines ever did become self aware, they are not even nearly at the level where they can be self-sustained for indefinite amounts of time. So if anything we'd call it terminator minor.

I think all of you missed the point. The CROWS is NOT "self aware", but the Enemy, after watching years of western made movies with killer robots in them, they think the CROWS is like some kind of R2D2 with an attitude! Now, if we can just build a couple of Battle Walkers from BF 2142...

nahh, lets go all-out sci-fi and build some AT AT walkers!

and i know what the CROWS is, iv used it in PR a couple times. Very helpful to not get sniped by infantry when shooting.

In PR I have shot down the Havok on Jabal Al Burj using the CROWS. Love that system.
